ASK Proxima is an international brand consisting of multiple series of professional and commercial projectors.This well-known international brand with almost 25 years of tradition is now owned by the AMT [Advanced Micro-Display Technologies Co.Ltd], which was established in 1986 and related to the ASK of Norway, the then global R&D leader in LCD panels. In 1991, the ASK brand was taken over by Tandberg Data, the world's leading memory products manufacturer at the time, which later joined forces with Polaroid to launch production of multimedia LCD projectors under a completely new brand "For Polaroid - by ASK", thus building a distribution network throughout Europe and Asia. In 1998, the ASK took over its competitor, the Proxima Corporation, and entered the US market under a new name, Proxima ASA. In early 2006, the company that then became the world's second biggest projector manufacturer was taken
was taken over by InFocus, the global leader in the industry, and a new brand, ASK Proxima, was created. In mid 2009, the AMT first took over the SMT [InFocus technology park in China], and then ASK Proxima in early 2011.
